Angelfire Trilogy by Courtney Allison Moulton

Welcome to #ThrowbackThursdays! Every Thursday I will be featuring a book/series that I read a little while ago that I LOVE and think you all will too. This week’s feature is super special not only because it is the first, but because this a trilogy I didn’t have to look through my list of books that I’ve read since 2009 to find. It was that memorable. I first read Angelfire on March 17, 2011. I finished it in less than 2 days (and yes I keep track lol). Not only does this book feature a kickass female heroine and a swoon worthy guardian (Will), but the trilogy  has some of the BEST fighting scenes I’ve ever read. No seriously they are SO GOOD.

Brief Summary:

On the days leading up to her 17th birthday, Ellie is plagued by nightmares of monstrous creatures hunting and killing her. Then she meets the mysterious Will, a man she’s never met but feels like she’s known forever. One night while under attack, Will awakens her powers and Ellie finds out that she is the Preliator, an ancient mortal that has been reincarnated for thousands of years to fight off reapers that prey on human souls. As her connection to Will intensifies, and she discovers more about her origin, Ellie learns that in order to prepare for the battle brewing on earth between Heaven and Hell she must make the ultimate sacrifice to save Will, humanity and herself.
